HIMSS Analytics Europe UG (limited liability) (referred to below as "HAE") is committed to protecting your personal data, and strictly complies with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act and with other legislation governing data protection. Personal data is information that can be used to determine your identify (for example, your name, telephone number or e-mail address). It does not include information that cannot be used to directly determine your identity or data relating to legal entities. Personal data is only collected on this website if it is required for the purposes specified below. The following Privacy Statement provides an overview of the ways in which we protect your privacy and of which types of data are collected for which purposes.

1. Information collected by HAE

HAE only collects and processes personal information about you that is provided to us by you when you register to use services that require registration on, when you provide us with data, or when you contact HAE to receive information. You are not required to provide any personal information to browse the website.

2. How HAE uses information about users of

To the extent that the HAE website allows you to enter personal or commercial data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses, contact information), this data is never recorded without your prior express consent. The homepage also clearly indicates that your consent is required. This data is treated confidentially. This data is never linked to your access data. HAE processes your registration data in order to be able to inform you of new offers, products and services from HAE that may be of interest to you, to help HAE to improve its services, and to enhance the products and services provided to you on the website and tailor them to your personal needs. HAE also processes personal information in our accounting and invoicing systems.

Your information may be processed by third parties in certain cases if these third parties are contractually bound to HAE for the purposes of fulfilling HAE's agreements with you. Your data may also be stored and analysed on the servers of an HAE parent company or affiliate in states outside of the European Union. Should the accepted privacy standards in the state in question not be on a par with those within the European Union, HAE will ensure, by means of contractual arrangements, that your privacy and personal data will be protected in a proper and adequate manner.

3. Collection and processing of non-personal data: log files

Each time the site is accessed, access data is stored in a log file known as the server log. The data that is stored includes the following:

  • your IP address (which identifies your computer)
  • the remote host (the name and IP address of the computer requesting connection to a specific site)
  • the time, status, volume of data transferred and the website from which you linked to the requested site (the "referrer")
  • information about the browser used and the browser version (user agent) uses the standardised "combined" log-file format of the Apache web server for this purpose. This log data is anonymised for statistical purposes. As a result, it cannot be linked directly to you.

HAE uses this data to determine the times at which the offers available on are accessed most frequently and to calculate the volume of data generated on the website. The log files also serve to improve the service offering of the website, as they enable better detection and localisation of potential errors on the website. The page views stored in the server log are not linked to individual users.

In order to protect the website and its users and to guarantee the security of user data on the website, HAE is entitled to check the last known IP address of users if HAE has reason to suspect that their use of the website is in breach of legislation or of contractual agreements.

Data is always deleted following processing.

4. Passing on information about users of the website

Data and information from providers and manufacturers of IT products and/or services that is collected by HAE as part of its services or is passed on to HAE by users for this purpose is, in particular, also intended for the purpose of sale and purchase. This data may therefore also be purchased by other users. This data is not personal data.

HAE is committed to protecting your information. HAE takes technical and organisational security precautions to protect the personal data HAE has recorded about you against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, damage and against access by unauthorised persons. These security precautions are improved on an ongoing basis as the technology progresses. However, HAE cannot guarantee the complete security of data transmitted via the Internet. HAE is therefore unable to provide assurances or guarantees of the security of information that you send to HAE during its transmission. This information is sent at your own risk.

The websites use cookies. HAE uses cookies to improve the usability, effectiveness and security of the websites.
